In the Western Hills Youth Internship, we equip you to impact the lives of students for an eternity.
If you’re pursuing full-time work at a church, this is the place to learn! We want to support you spiritually as you gain experience as a staff member on a ministry team.
What’s in it for you?
We will offer opportunities for you to grow in your communication and leadership skills, and understanding of how a mid-size church functions, and help you develop your unique gifts.
We offer a holistic, hands-on experience in full-time ministry! You’ll have the opportunity to work in our youth ministry, office staff, and eldership.
Continued support. After your time with us, we will be available to coach you as you search for and apply for full-time jobs. We will also be available as a contact to help you navigate ministry, especially in your first few years.
We Offer:
Experience with, and mentorship from, our elders and experienced church staff.
A uniquely creative and collaborative staff culture.
$4,500 for a 12-week Summer internship, with housing covered.
Summer Opportunities:
Pray for students
Show the students Jesus through your life - 1 Timothy 4:12b “Set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”
Serve as a staff member at a summer camp with us
Teach Sunday class
Share devotionals on Wednesdays
Lead worship for the youth group
Write cards and send encouraging texts to students
Consistently reach out to and communicate with teens and parents
Attend and contribute to staff meetings
Help plan for and set up trips, projects, and events
Thursday intern lunch with students
